Katie and Lee’s Bill Baggs State Park Engagement Photos were such an amazing experience!

When we were planning the location for their engagement photos, I knew it had to be something special that really matched their personality as a couple! Katie and Lee are an adventurous couple who love outdoor activities and playing sports. And, when Katie reached out to me, she also expressed her love for the beach and all things greenery!

That meant Bill Baggs State Park was high on the location list! It’s an absolutely gorgeous beach and park on Key Biscayne. And, what makes it particularly special is that it is home to the Cape Florida Lighthouse, which is the oldest standing structure in Miami! Because Bill Baggs is located on the southernmost tip of Florida it was an optimal location for planning a sunset shoot for Katie and Lee. Which is exactly what we did!

Katie and Lee were looking for engagement photos that were light and elegant with a focus on showcasing their love. They were particularly drawn to working with me because they liked how at ease my couples are in their photos. I knew instantly that we would make magic together! Although initially, they were nervous about PDA in front of the camera. Which, of course, is a totally natural feeling. Especially if it’s your first time having professional photos taken.

I also knew that Katie and Lee were looking for an engagement session that was experience based. I loved how their focus was on experience because there is so much more to your engagement session aside from just finding the right location and posing. It’s so important to soak up this time together as a couple before all the wedding planning begins!

Shooting their engagement photos at Bill Baggs State Park meant that we could focus on having some fun and getting our feet in the sand and the salt water! Once the session began, Katie and Lee had an amazing time. They were so at ease and natural with each other. But, where we really made some magic was on the pier by the beach as the sun was setting! It was such a beautiful moment and I can’t wait for you to check out the photos in the blog below!
