St. Regis Bal Harbour Family Photographer | Megan & Jonathan
As a family photographer, it was such a dream to capture this session at the St. Regis Bal Harbour!! Megan and Jonathan, along with Jonathan’s parents, were in town soaking up the sun and sands of Miami Beach. While they were here visiting from their home state of Texas they thought it would be an amazing idea to commemorate their trip with a family photoshoot.
The St. Regis Bal Harbour, where the family was staying, is a gorgeous resort located right on Miami Beach. There was no question that we didn’t have to look much farther than their resort, to plan the location for their session. The St. Regis Bal Harbour also provides its guests with direct, private, access to the beach. This removes the worry of having heaps of beachgoers turn into on-lookers during your photoshoot!
Following the path from the resort to the beach is an experience in itself. The path, made of white sand, is lined with beach grass and dense rich tropical foliage. Once you step foot on the beach, the resort has rows of beach chairs and cabanas for its guests. All of which face the serene view of the horizon over the Atlantic.
It was a bit windy by the beach on the day of the shoot, but Megan and her sweet little girl, with their hair whipping around, just took it all in stride! They were full of smiles and so present in each other’s company. Megan and Jonathan’s little girl is at such an amazing age right now. Her first few teeth had just made an appearance. And she absolutely loves soaking up all the cuddles with mom and dad! She had such a calm, sweet demeanour about her, I seriously couldn’t stop taking photos of this beautiful family!
I loved watching Jonathan’s playful personality during the shoot as well. He spent the majority of our session right by Megan’s side. He showered his beautiful wife with kisses and snuggles. It was so easy to see the love they have for each other! However, one of my favorite moments during the shoot was when Megan took off her sandals and sat in the sand with her little girl. She snuggled her sweet daughter close to her chest as the two of them watched the ocean waves lap at the shore. It was truly a beautiful moment, one I hope they will recall for years to come!
