Catherine and Philip’s South Pointe Park engagement photoshoot was so much fun! This couple absolutely adores one another and it was amazing to be in their energy the entire day. They even brought along their sweet pup for the shoot! If that’s not cute enough, they got their baby a bandana that said “my parents are getting married”.
The bride and groom-to-be love to travel, and their fur baby is often their travel companion. In fact, it might surprise you to hear this, but they actually met at an airport! Talk about a modern-day romance.
When planning their engagement session, they knew that they wanted the location of the shoot to mimic the vibes of their wedding day. Their upcoming wedding will be held by the blue-green waters of Key Largo at Bakers Cay. So we thought it would amazing to meet at South Pointe Park for their engagement photoshoot.

South Pointe Park is located at the southern tip of Miami Beach. It’s always a popular location choice for photoshoots with many of my clients. The park contains walking trails, direct access to the beach, and plenty of gorgeous Miami skyline in the backdrop. If you want that beautiful Miami glow in your photos, I always recommend that we meet at sunrise or sunset to capture golden hour!
For Catherine and Philip, we were able to capture a variety of images, worthy of being placed in an album. We spent our time together adventuring through the different areas of the park which allowed me to create a full series of photos. But I have to admit, my favorite moment is always when my couples ditch their shoes. How often can you walk along the shoreline of the beach letting the waves wash over your ankles with your formal attire on?
