Ready to see the most in-love couple ever?! MJ & JR’s Club of Knights Miami Wedding was sweet, romantic, and full of personal, unique, meaningful touches!
Believe it or not, my adorable bride and groom met all the way back in High School! It’s true! The groom found himself alone at lunch (his circle of friends had a different lunch period) so he introduced himself to a random group of people, and there he found the love of his life. The pair bonded over choir class, their Filipino heritage, and their favorite colors (yellow & purple!)Ten years, two degrees, and one trip to Paris later, they made it officially official!
MJ & JR took a trip to Paris with a few of their friends along and JR popped the question on bended knee in front of the Eiffel Tower. Their original plan was to get married on their 10-year dating anniversary with all of their friends and family there to witness their union and celebrate their love. But unfortunately, their plans for a big celebratory wedding were dashed by the pandemic so they decided instead to have a courthouse wedding and temporarily postpone their big celebration.
The decor of their day was whimsical and boho, but there was so much meaning put into each detail. When the couple first started dating, JR was trying to say “I love you a lot” in Tagalog. But he didn’t know the translation for “a lot” so he replaced it with “mucho” and the phrase stuck. Soon, the couple found themselves saying “Mahal kita Mucho” anytime they hung up the phone with each other. They had the phrase made into a neon sign which hung from their wedding arbor! It’s seriously the sweetest, wait until you see it below!
The second thing that added a unique spin to their wedding day was the cold sparklers on the dance floor. One of MJ & JR’s favorite trips together was a road trip to catch a couple of Jonas Brothers concerts, their favorite part of the show was the fireworks display. So they figured what better way to honor that than with their own fireworks on their wedding day!
MJ & JR are so cute together, the love they have for each other is so apparent that you can easily see it in their photos. After spending the day with them and their bridal, it was easy to see that they were surrounded by the best group of friends ever.
