Vizcaya Museum & Gardens is an elegant and historic wedding venue in Miami and the location that Kelly & Josh chose to hold their dream wedding day!
Kelly and Josh are a couple whose wedding plans were dashed by the pandemic not once but twice. They were so disheartened by having to postpone their wedding that they ended up officially getting married before their Vizcaya Museum & Gardens wedding. With just a few immediate family members and their grandparents in attendance, they sealed their love in mid-2021.
But, when it came to their Vizcaya wedding, they had a specific vision in mind. It was important to them that they did everything the exact same way they had originally planned. For a couple of years, Kelly & Josh had been imagining a wedding day that was intimate and relaxed but fun. A day where they could honor each of their fathers who are no longer with us. Likewise, a day where the style was natural and light and focused on the outdoor beauty of Vizcaya.
I would describe the overall vibe of their wedding day as a Tuscan vibe. All in all, they kept the decor minimal and focused mainly on using white, green, and light pink florals to match the natural landscape of Vizcaya. Vizcaya Museum & Gardens is such a beautiful wedding venue that it truly doesn’t need much in the way of decor to make your wedding day feel extravagant!
Kelly and Josh had a beautiful wedding ceremony at nightfall with gorgeous soft lighting in the background and an immense floral display set at the foot of the stone structure behind them. Furthermore, the bridesmaids all wore champagne gowns which coordinated perfectly with the Tuscan theme. Kelly wore a romantic off-the-shoulder lace bodice bridal gown and she looked effortlessly stunning!
A variety of components were added to their wedding day to honor each of their Dads and to make their presence felt during the celebration. During cocktail hour, Frank Sinatra was played to honor Kelly’s dad because it was his favorite music. Lastly, at their reception, the couple served some delicious Latin food and played Latin music to honor Josh’s Dad’s Venezuelan heritage.
