Rachel and Alex’s Salamander Resort & Spa Winter Wedding was cozy, unique, and intimate!!
You are going to absolutely fall in love with how their wedding day vision came to life! Rachel and Alex really wanted to plan a wedding day that reflected their personalities, their likes, and who they are as a couple (they joke with each other that they share a brain!)
For their Salamander Resort & Spa wedding, they honed in on a vibe that was warm. To say that their venue was a total dream would be a huge understatement! To create that warm vibe they used a rich color palette of black and gold with added textures like velvet to bring their dream wedding vision board to life!
Rachel and Alex don’t consider themselves a super traditional couple, but they still had all the classic wedding day moments you would expect to find like cutting the cake, tossing the bouquet, and having a first dance. However, they found a way to fuse those traditional moments with their unique personalities.
The couple decided to have a first look with each other before their ceremony, however, Rachel had a little fun with it. Before she tapped her groom on the shoulder, she chose to first send out his longtime friend Trevor, all dressed up as a bride. Everyone, the groom included, had a good laugh and you bet I captured it all so you’ll get to see it in the photos below!
They also worked in another moment unique to them at their ceremony. Rachel & Alex had a table set up with a bottle of their favorite drink so that they could share a ‘‘first drink’. Rachel is part of the Bacardi Rum family and one of the things that she and Alex enjoy doing together is mixing drinks. So it was fun to see how they incorporated their mixology hobby into their wedding day.
The bride and groom each come from big loving families. They hadn’t all been together in the same place for a while because of the pandemic. So their wedding day was about blending their families into one while celebrating in each other’s presence! That meant lots of dancing, fun cocktails, amazingly delicious food, gorgeous flowers, and soft warm candles everywhere! Scroll down to see all the details!
